Tipsta takes GDPR extremely seriously and whilst we require your personal data to ensure that our products capture an accurate representation of your ideas, opinions and predictions against the wider user-base, we will do our utmost to ensure that your data is always protected.

What data do we collect?

Tipsta collects the following data:

  • Email address
  • Voluntary predictions made on Tipsta software
  • Wider Tipsta software usage - such as likes, content sharing etc

How do we collect your data?

You (the user) directly provide Tipsta with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you: 

  • Register online for any of our products or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards, mobile notifications or via email.
    Use or view our mobile application or website via your browser's cookies.
  • Voluntarily answer the personal questions in your profile settings.Tipsta may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
  1. Facebook (using automatic log in at initial registration)
  2. Google (using automatic log in at initial registration)

How will we use your data?

Tipsta collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your predictions.
  • Manage your account.
  • Provide individual usage statistics (accuracy, confidence, strengths, weaknesses etc).  Note: You will have the option to hide or display your individual usage statistics on any public Tipsta profile (via account settings).
  • Provide filtered user usage statistics against specific search criteria e.g. what do people from London think against people from Newcastle.  Note: No user personal details will be displayed when user data contributes to wider group statistics.
  • Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like.

Tipsta will share group usage statistics and data with our partner companies for trend analysis and research purposes.  Note: No user personal details will be displayed when user data contributes to wider group statistics.

Marketing

Tipsta would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like, as well as those of our partner companies.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.  You have the right at any time to stop Tipsta from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of the Tipsta partner companies.

What are your data protection rights?

Tipsta would like to make sure you are fully aware of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

 

The right to access - You have the right to request for copies of your personal data.  We may charge you a small fee for this service.

 

The right to rectification - You have the right to request that Tipsta correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Tipsta to complete information you believe is incomplete.

 

The right to erasure — You have the right to request that Tipsta erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

 

The right to restrict processing - You have the right to request that Tipsta restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

 

The right to object to processing - You have the right to object to Tipsta's processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability - You have the right to request that Tipsta transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
